Talent development

“SOCAR-KBR” LLC provides trainings to its employees, to enable them to perform engineering with the latest tools in order to deliver projects successfully and develop world-class engineering capability in the region

Programs include the following:

  • Online training and development in Workday - access more than 50,000 learning modules, books and videos

  • Organizing internal trainings with professional and experienced engineers within the organization 

  • Organizing external trainings with experienced experts in the oil & gas industry

  • Development continues through the various project roles employees are assigned

“SOCAR-KBR” LLC offers the Graduates Program to attract, recruit and develop talented graduate engineers. We select graduate engineers from local institutions such as the Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University to recruit top talent into the company

Programs include the following:

  • 2-3 year development program

  • Graduates are assigned a senior supervisor/mentor to help and guide progression

  • They are supported through a combination of training, regular check-ins, and inspiring mentors

  • Graduates get the opportunity to work in different projects with professional and experienced team members to develop and grow

  • Graduates will get a site experience

Internship program

“SOCAR-KBR” LLC offers an Internship Program to attract and develop talented students
Program includes the following:

  • Usually 10-12 weeks in chosen department

  • Interns are assigned a senior supervisor/mentor to help and guide them throughout the program

  • Talented students are provided with the opportunity to work on our major projects 

  • They gain good experience while working with professional and experienced team members

  • Develop valuable networks and contacts for future career opportunities

  • Interns could be offered an employment opportunity in a full-time position

Company Activities

"University visit" on April 4, 2022

SOCAR-KBR” Limited Liability Company is a joint-venture legal entity established in 2015 by SOCAR and Kellogg Brown & Root Services B.V. (KBR).

We are the SOCAR-KBR's society IMPACT based out of Baku Operating Centre. Our purpose is to develop young professionals from within the region by providing a network to foster leadership skills, encourage community service and promote social interaction.

       On April 4, 2022, SOCAR-KBR specialists met with the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) students. With two Afsana Chopurova (Associate Structural Technical Professional) and Munavvar Jabbarli (Associate Electrical Technical Professional) as a speaker, below agenda has been delivered to respective Engineering student groups:

  • “About our company - SOCAR-KBR

  • Zero Harm Moment of our Sustainability Pillars: “Environmental Impact” (explaining Importance of Zero Harm Moments for our company)

  • “Ladies in Engineering”

  • “Importance of Self-development for Future career”

  • “Open discussion with students”

 

     Further, the employees of SOCAR KBR LLC, Fuad Badirkhanov (Principal Technical Professional- Instrument and control) and Ulvi Fatullayev (Principal technical professional - mechanical) shared their personal career experiences, spoke about the ways to achieve career success and skills development, and the importance of gaining experience in the engineering field.

     Through professional development, networking, community outreach, career, and personal enrichment, we seek to motivate, retain, and develop new members, discover potentials within Azerbaijani institution of higher education.
